Yemen’s Houthis have declared “our hands are on the trigger” ready to resume attacks on Israel and especially Red Sea shipping of the Gaza ceasefire falters. “Our hands are on the trigger, and we are ready to immediately escalate against the Israeli enemy if it returns to escalation in the Gaza Strip,” said leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi on Tuesday. The ceasefire is indeed teetering, given Netanyahu’s security cabinet has backed Trump’s ultimatum demanding the return of all remaining Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity or else “let hell break out” and the Israeli military onslaught on Gaza would continue. He gave a noon Saturday deadline. The ceasefire agreement is still within the first of three phases, and Hamas and Israel have been trading accusations of the other having broken the deal. The Houthis have since November of 2023 launched over 100 attacks on commercial and military vessels in the Red Sea, some of which may have struck American warships, though the Pentagon has kept mum on the extent of any potential damage. Several MQ-9 Reaper drones have also been shot down in that time period. PM Netanyahu following a four-hour security cabinet meeting said he’s ordered troop reinforcements in and around Gaza, and that the country is […]

Saudi Arabia said Tuesday it had executed a citizen convicted on terror charges including attacking security forces. The kingdom’s Interior Ministry said the convict, identified as Ali bin Abdul Jalil bin Mansour, had perpetrated several terrorist crimes. He had attacked security men, shot at them several times with the intention of killing them, financed terrorist operations through money laundry and sold arms. He was arrested, interrogated and charged with perpetrating the crimes, the ministry added. He was referred to a specialised court that sentenced him to death. The ruling was later upheld and approved by a royal decree. The execution was carried out Tuesday in the Eastern Province, the ministry said. Saudi Arabia applies the death penalty against convicts in cases of murder, involvement in terrorism as well as drug smuggling and trafficking. Last week, another Saudi man was executed for involvement in several terror acts. The Interior Ministry said the convict, identified as Abdullah bin Ahmad, committed terrorist crimes, including joining a terrorist entity, travelling abroad to join a terrorist camp to train in manufacturing and using explosives. After returning to the kingdom, he began explosive making targeting security personnel, and financing terrorist acts. Similarly, two Saudi men were […]

Following the brutal attack that cost two people their lives yesterday, including a 2-year-old child, in the Bavarian city of Aschaffenburg, Alternative for Germany (AfD) co-leader Alice Weidel is calling for mass deportations. “In Bavaria, which is governed by the CSU, an Afghan in Aschaffenburg kills a toddler (2) and a good Samaritan (41) who rushed to help the child. The Afghan had previously followed the child’s daycare group. My thoughts are with the relatives and the injured. Remigration now!” wrote Weidel on X. Yesterday, as Remix News reported, a 28-year-old Afghan man killed two people in a knife attack on a kindergarten group in a park in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. The victims were a two-year-old boy and a 41-year-old passerby, said Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) in Aschaffenburg. Three people were injured, including a two-year-old girl. According to Herrmann’s statements, as cited by Die Welt, initial findings indicate that the Afghan suspect stabbed a child from the kindergarten group “suddenly and deliberately” with a kitchen knife. The 41-year-old man was allegedly trying to prevent further attacks on the children and was killed in the process. Police say other passers-by pursued the perpetrator fled on foot. A few minutes after the attack, the man […]

The Gaza ceasefire which went into effect Sunday morning, ending a 470-day conflict which has reportedly killed over 47,000 – has continued to hold. Palestinians are returning to northern Gaza in droves, picking through the rubble and seeking to identify their homes and belongings. Yemen’s Houthis starting last week signaled they would stop their missile and drone attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea. As of Monday, the Houthis have announced a halt to these attacks, but with an important exception. International ships will no longer come under attack, the Houthis said, but attacks on Israeli-linked commercial and military vessels will continue. “We affirm that, in the event of any aggression against the Republic of Yemen by the United States of America, the United Kingdom, or the usurping Israeli entity, the sanctions will be reinstated against the aggressor,” the Houthis said in a written statement reported by Reuters. “You will be promptly informed of such measures should they be implemented,” it continued. The Houthis further said that even Israeli-linked ships will stop being targeted “upon the full implementation of all phases of the agreement.” Click here to read more

Peter Ford served in the UK Foreign Ministry for many years including being UK Ambassador to Bahrain (1999-2003) and then Syria (2003-2006). Following that, he was representative to the Arab world for the Commissioner General of United Nations Relief and Works Agency. He was interviewed by Rick Stering on Jan 6, 2025. RS: Why do you think the Syrian military and government collapsed so rapidly? Peter Ford: Everybody was surprised but with hindsight, we shouldn’t have been. Over more than a decade, the Syrian army had been hollowed out by the extremely dire economic situation in Syria, mainly caused by western sanctions. Syria only had a few hours of electricity a day, no money to buy weapons and no ability to use the international banking system to buy anything whatsoever. It’s no surprise that the Army was run down. With hindsight, you might say the surprise is that the Syrian government and Army were successful in driving back the Islamists. The Syrian Army forced them into the redoubt of Idlib four or five years ago. But after that point, the Syrian army deteriorated, became less battle ready on the technical level and also morale. Syrian soldiers are mainly conscripts and they […]

President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, said Tuesday that he was traveling to Qatar to take part in Gaza hostage and ceasefire negotiations with Biden administration officials. Chances of a deal seem slim as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made clear he has no intention of ending the genocidal war, and Hamas is saying any deal must lead to a permanent ceasefire, but Witkoff insisted progress was being made. “We’re making a lot of progress, and I don’t want to say too much because I think they’re doing a really good job back in Doha,” Witkoff, a real estate investor, said at a press conference with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Witkoff said he was “really hopeful that by the inaugural, we’ll have some good things to announce on behalf of the president.” When asked what has been impeding a deal, Witkoff declined to answer. “I believe we’ve been on the verge of [a deal]. I don’t want to discuss what’s delayed it — no point to be negative in any way,” he said. Standing alongside Witkoff, Trump repeated his threat that there would be “all hell to pay” if Hamas doesn’t start releasing hostages by his inauguration on January 20. “If those hostages aren’t back — if […]

In a recent discussion on the Shawn Ryan Show, former CIA targeting officer Sarah Adams warned of a potentially devastating attack planned by Al-Qaeda terrorists on American soil. The interview offers significant insights into what may be unfolding, as Al-Qaeda sleeper cells could be activating in the wake of the New Orleans terrorist attack and a possible vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) in the rear of a rented Tesla Cybertruck that exploded outside Trump’s hotel in Las Vegas just hours later. Ryan asked Adams: “I just want to clarify. You are 100% certain that there are 1,000 plus Al-Qaeda-trained fighters within the US borders?” Adams, currently a global threat advisor with extensive experience in Middle Eastern affairs, responded: “Well, Al-Qaeda says they trained and deployed a thousand for this attack. First off, I think there are more than a thousand Al-Qaeda members in the United States, but for the Homeland Attack, that number is based on what Al-Qaeda is saying, so they could exaggerate it; however, they did have about 1,400 in the Hamas Attack so the number is not off from what they did in the first round of attacks.” Frightening information to hear. Former CIA targeting officer Sarah Adams is warning of an IRGC U.S. Homeland attack […]

President-elect Donald Trump said Sunday he would aim to designate Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations and will launch an anti-drug advertising campaign inside the United States. “I will immediately designate the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations,” Trump said in Arizona at a Turning Point conference, reiterating a campaign promise to make the declaration. While in office in 2019, Trump had planned to make the designation and ultimately did not make the move after a request from then-Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who said he wanted cooperation with the U.S. government on dealing with drug cartels. Trump’s election platform has stated when he returns to the White House, he will direct the Department of Defense to use “special forces, cyber warfare, and other covert and overt actions to inflict maximum damage on cartel leadership, infrastructure, and operations.” Trump on Sunday also previewed a new advertising initiative designed to provide information about the effects of drug use. “We’re going to advertise how bad drugs are for you,” Trump said in Arizona at a Turning Point conference, referring to the ad campaign. “They ruin your look, they ruin your face, they ruin your skin, they ruin your teeth.” Click here to […]
