The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise utmost caution amid forecast of thunderstorms that likely to hit several regions of Saudi Arabia until Friday.
In a statement, the directorate called on the people to remain in safe areas, avoid flood-prone locations such as torrents and valleys, refrain from swimming in these areas, and follow official instructions issued through media outlets and social media platforms.
According to the directorate, the Makkah region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, potentially resulting in torrential downpours, hail, and dust storms. Meanwhile, medium to heavy rainfall is anticipated in the Riyadh region, leading to torrential downpours, hail, and dust-stirring winds.
Additionally, Jazan, Asir, Najran, and Al-Baha regions are expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall. Light to moderate rain is expected in the Eastern Province.
