Bahrain: Three Expats Arrested for Possessing and Selling Intoxicants

The Director-General of the General Department of Investigation and Criminal Evidence stated that in two separate cases, the anti-trafficking and protection of public morals police managed to arrest three persons, who hold Asian citizenship, suspected of possessing and selling intoxicating substances.

He explained that the research and investigation work that was undertaken after receiving information in this regard, resulted in identifying the suspects and arresting one of them while he was selling the intoxicating materials “the first case”. In the second case, a man and a woman were arrested while they were selling, in addition to controlling a large amount of Sugared items in a store of a food store.

The Director-General of the General Department of Investigations and Criminal Evidence indicated that legal measures are being taken, in preparation for referring the arrested to the Public Prosecution.
