Coronavirus: Iran Death Toll Jumps to 1,433
Among the worst-hit countries by the new coronavirus, Iran’s death toll from the new coronavirus outbreak rose by 149 to 1,433 on Friday, a health ministry official tweeted, adding that that total number of confirmed infections had increased by 1,237 to 19,644.
The first case of coronavirus in Iran was confirmed in Qom province on Feb. 19.
Besides China, Italy, and South Korea, Iran is among the worst-affected countries since the start of the outbreak last December.
