Kuwait announces change in partial curfew timings

Kuwait Government on Monday approved a decision amending the partial curfew timing from 6pm until 5am, with restaurants allowed to deliver from 6pm until 10pm. Walking is allowed from 6pm until 8pm starting tomorrow.

The earlier partial ban timing was 5pm to 5am. The government has extended the ban timings as several groups have asked the government to relax the strict measures that have affected businesses.

Kuwait government spokesman Tariq Al Muzrim announced that 3 categories of travellers coming to Kuwait, who have received the coronavirus vaccine, would be exempted from mandatory institutional quarantine, including:

  1. Those who have received two doses and have received the second dose more than two weeks.
  2. Those who received one dose of the vaccine more than 5 weeks ago.
  3. Whoever recovered from the coronavirus infection and received one dose more than 2 weeks ago

Al Muzrim stated that the home quarantine will be applied for a period of 7 days in the event that a PCR examination is performed on the seventh day of arrival proving the absence of infection.
