Coronavirus: Today’s Updates on GCC COVID-19 Cases

Containment measures, including curfews and the closure of public places, were still in place on Monday across the Middle East, as coronavirus  infections continue to emerge.

The Ministry of Health in Bahrain has till date confirmed a total of 516 cases of which currently 279 have recovered and 232 remain active.

The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has announced the detection of 154 new COVID-19 cases in the country.

Meanwhile, the UAE reported on Monday that two additional COVID-19 patients have died in the country, taking the total death toll to five. The Ministry of Health and Prevention also announced 41 new cases, taking the total number of cases in the country to 611.

Qatar’s Health Ministry confirmed 44 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country’s total to 634.

Kuwait registered 11 cases of the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s total to 266.

Oman’s Ministry of Health has announced the registration of 12 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases registered in the Sultanate to 179. The ministry affirms that 29 cases have recovered.
