First High Labour Court awarded a former Sales and Marketing Manager nearly BD49,000 after ruling that his dismissal was unlawful.
The court ordered the employer to pay outstanding salaries, compensation for unfair dismissal, end-of-service benefits, unpaid sales commissions, legal interest, court costs, expert fees and lawyers’ fees.
The employee had worked for the company since 2005 before being dismissed in August 2025 without notice. He claimed he was also denied outstanding salaries and employment benefits.
The employer argued the dismissal was justified due to serious misconduct. However, the court found no evidence of financial losses or legal grounds to support immediate termination.
The court also ordered the employer to pay legal interest on delayed wages until full settlement.
