COVID 19: New Cases All Over India, 28 so far

After the new cases that emerged today, the total count of Indian coronavirus patients has shot up to touch 28 — no longer a trivial tally. Apart from this, 16 Italian tourists have also been tested positive.

The breakdown of cases are as follows:
Delhi: 1, Agra: 6, Telangana: 1, Kerala: 3, 16 Italian tourists and 1 Indian driver

Earlier in the day, the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, New Delhi confirmed the fresh cases.

Apart from this, Tech giant Intel has said one of its employees in Bengaluru has “potentially been exposed” to coronavirus and is currently under quarantine.

So far, 438 persons in India have been reported as suspects, of which 225 have completed 28 days of surveillance and 189 are still under observation. At least 89 persons have been kept in isolation. Out of 118 tested, 103 have been found negative and results of 14 are awaited, an official release said.

According to a large section of experts, India’s risks of catching the virus are disproportionately high because of its high population density, creaky healthcare mechanism and high internal migration.
