COVID-19: Oman Reports 1,262 New Cases, 6 Deaths

The Ministry of Health has registered 1,262 new coronavirus cases in Oman on Tuesday.

Among those, 294 new cases were of expats and 968 of Omanis.

The total cases in the country has now touched 48,997, including 31,000 recoveries and 224 deaths, according to MOH.

Six more patients, suffering from COVID-19, have succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of fatalities due to the novel coronavirus in the Sultanate to 224.

The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee and the MOH, as well as staying at home and not going out unless necessary.
