Bahrain: 30 Trucks and 2 Cargo Planes Loaded With Food Arrive

Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Food Wealth Committee head Khalid Al-Ameen confirmed that the arrival of tons of different types of vegetables, fruits and other foodstuffs indicated that suppliers in Bahrain are ensuring the import of adequate food supplies to cover the needs of the country.

Mr Al-Amin added that more food shipments were due to arrive in Bahrain from the Netherlands next week.

He asked people to stop panic buying as there were enough food stocks for everyone in the country at least for the next six months.

He had pointed out yesterday that the Jordanian authorities had lifted the ban on their export of fruits and vegetables more than a week after the issuance of a decision to ban the supply.
