Saudi: Number of factories in Q1 2022 exceeds 10K

The number of factories, producing and under-construction, in Saudi Arabia exceeded 10,000 during the first quarter of 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources said.

According to the industrial licenses bulletin, the total amounted to 10,489 factories until the end of the first quarter of 2022 with a capital estimated at more than SR1.3 trillion.

The largest percentage of the number of factories in the Kingdom is led by those working in the manufacture of non-ferrous metal products, followed by rubber and plastic products, then the formed metal products factories.
