Suspect admitted placing drug-laced paper strips in Salmaniya
A 27-year-old Pakistani delivery driver appeared before Bahrain’s High Criminal Court charged with possessing, selling and trafficking synthetic cannabis (CPD) through a covert “dead drop” operation.
Officers acting on intelligence deployed to Salmaniya at 7 p.m. on April 21, where they spotted the suspect behaving nervously. He immediately confessed to placing CPD-soaked paper strips at the location moments earlier.
A search uncovered seven drug-laced sheets on his person and four bottles of suspected liquid CPD at his home, along with adhesive tape used in preparing the substances.
Prosecutors said the suspect worked as a courier for a Pakistani national believed to be overseas, receiving smuggled drugs, dividing them and distributing them via dead drops for payment. He admitted all charges before the Public Prosecution.
