DOO, the Bahraini artificial intelligence platform that’s changing how businesses serve their customers, has announced the closing of a $1.7 million seed funding round. The round was led by Merak Capital, with participation from Plus VC and a group of strategic investors from across the Gulf region.
Offering a marketplace for local on-demand services, the new funding is being earmarked by the AI platform to speed up product development, improve connections with leading CRM and e-commerce platforms, and grow DOO’s presence in the region.
AI-powered customer support for regional enterprises
Founded in 2024 by Ali Mohsen and Mohamed AlKhabbaz, DOO provides an AI-powered customer support platform that helps businesses handle large volumes of customer interactions. Its intelligent agent connects with existing business systems to automatically manage complex service requests, helping organisations improve customer satisfaction, speed up resolution times, and work more efficiently.
The company works with over 50 institutions across telecommunications, aviation, banking, and e-commerce and continues to strengthen its presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, alongside a growing presence in other GCC markets.
“We are honoured by the confidence our investors have placed in DOO. This investment shows the growing demand for AI solutions that understand Arabic dialects and deliver world-class customer experiences across the Gulf region. We will use these funds to improve our product, recruit exceptional talent, and expand our presence in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and beyond,” said Ali Mohsen, Co-founder of DOO.
Plans for regional expansion and product development
“DOO’s technology addresses a critical need for advanced Arabic-language AI in the service industry. We believe the team has the vision and technical expertise to redefine customer support in our region,” said a representative of Merak Capital.
With this funding, DOO will speed up work on its customer support agent, improve integration with leading business systems, and extend its product reach to more industries. The company will also continue expanding its workforce to support innovation and rapid growth across the Gulf.
