Saudi authorities have stopped drug smugglers from bringing almost 28kg of cocaine hidden inside a potato shipment.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) thwarted, at Jeddah Islamic Port, an attempt to smuggle 27.6kg of cocaine.
The drugs were found hidden in the air conditioner of a shipment of potatoes coming into the Kingdom.

ZATCA coordinated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to have two individuals who were supposed to receive the shipment arrested.
ZATCA said it is committed to stiffening customs control of the Kingdom’s imports and exports, stressing that it will stay vigilant to thwart smuggling attempts and ensure the protection of the society.
