Twenty-nine traffic accidents were reported in Dubai from Tuesday midnight until 9am as fog blanketed several parts of the country.
Tbe General Department of Traffic at the Dubai Police, urged motorists to keep a safe distance between cars and slow down.
Motorists in Abu Dhabi were also reminded to stick to the 80kmph speed limit during the foggy weather. The Abu Dhabi Police on Tuesday told drivers that the lower speed limit applies when visibility is reduced to less than 2,000m. Visibility is a measure of distance at which an object or light could be clearly seen.
