Dubai education authorities have announced dates for Eid Al Fitr holidays for private nurseries, schools and universities in the emirate.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) made the announcement on social media, and students, families and education sector workers can look forward to an extended break.
The KHDA said nurseries, schools and universities will be closed from Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14.

The social media post said: “All private schools, universities and nurseries in Dubai will be closed from Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14.
“Regular working hours will resume from Monday, April 15. We wish you all an enjoyable Eid break.”

The news followed a series of announcements from authorities across the UAE declaring holidays for Eid Al Fitr.
The MOHRE has announced dates for the start of the Eid Al Fitr holiday for private sector workers. The holiday will begin on Monday, April 8 and could result in a nine-day break for workers in the country.
Meanwhile, Sharjah has announced a 10-day holiday for government workers in the emirate.
