Oman: Two doses of Pfizer vaccine needed at $30 per shot

Oman’s Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi said that a batch of the Pfizer vaccine will be available for use in Oman by the end of this month and indicated that the price is USD 30 per dose, and that each person needs two doses.

The Minister also brought attention to the side effects of the Pfizer vaccine which are typically pain where the vaccine is administered, headache and fever.

He said that the vaccine will be freely administered for those in the priority and vulnerable groups, namely the elderly over the age of 65, those with diabetes, those with kidney failure, those undergoing dialysis, those with chronic lung diseases, health workers in intensive care, and workers in the COVID-19 wards.

The undersecretary at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Maitha Al Mahrouqi, said that there will be a guide of conduct to be followed by visitors when they visit the historical and tourism sites in Oman.
