A new salary scheme for Dubai government employees will see their pay hiked by an average of 10 per cent. The salary hike of “professional employees” will range from nine to 16 per cent.
The scheme also specifies a minimum wage for Emirati fresh graduates in addition to provisions for flexible working hours, telework and part-time employment.
This new salary scheme is in line with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed and the ‘4th of January Document’ to further enhance government excellence by investing in human capital and retention of talent. The scheme – which has been backdated to January 1 – is in pursuance of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
