A service center in Dubai was shut down on the first day of its operation after the opening ceremony led to overcrowding.

The action against the center was taken after field inspectors from Dubai Economy, the retail regulator in the emirate, found it flouting coronavirus guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus, WAM reported on Friday.

Dubai Economy directed all businesses in Dubai to avoid holding such events that might lead to overcrowding, warning that violators will be issued with fines and closure orders.
