Dubai Shops Told to Avoid Promotions and Sales

There will be no bargains on offer in Dubai during Ramadan this year, as part of measures announced by the government.

Authorities have relaxed the strict lockdown restrictions, which were implemented over a three-week period through much of April, including shopping malls opening to just 30 percent capacity.

However, shoppers have been warned to expect further measures aimed at mitigating the spread of coronavirus.

An announcement from the Dubai Economic Department has revealed a series of precautionary measures for commercial establishments.

This includes a ban on shops offering promotions and sales.

Employees must also wear masks and gloves at all times, while social distancing stickers should be placed clearly where they can be seen by customers.
