Tourists in Dubai will be given a free SIM card with complimentary talk time and data, as part of a new initiative being undertaken in Dubai.
Tourists aged over 18 will be offered the SIM card at the Dubai airport’s immigration counter, according to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.
Valid for one month, the du SIM card will come with three minutes of talk time and 20MB data. Tourists can top up the SIM for three packages – small, medium and large. It will be deactivated once they leave the country.
The project is being undertaken by GDRFA Dubai in collaboration with du and Smart Dubai.
