The Dubai Racing Club has confirmed that the 29th Dubai World Cup will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Meydan Racecourse, sources said in a statement.
This event will conclude an extended 16-meeting Carnival, scheduled a week later than usual to coincide with Eid Al Fitr celebrations in the UAE.
The upcoming racing season will begin on Friday, November 8, 2024. Key dates include the ‘Festive Friday’ on December 20, featuring the AED1 million G2 Maktoum Mile, and the ‘Fashion Friday’ on January 24, 2025, headlined by the AED3.68 million G1 Al Maktoum Challenge.
The Emirates Super Saturday is set for March 1, 2025.

“The Dubai World Cup is one of the best-established sporting and social events of the year in Dubai. This incredible race meeting has grown year on year, since its 1996 inception, and we look forward to welcoming the best horses, jockeys, trainers and owners from around the world to Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, April 5, 2025,” Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club said.
“We are also delighted to offer two additional days of racing this season, providing more opportunities for horses based locally and those joining us from overseas,” he added.
The announcement further highlighted the role of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in elevating the status of the Dubai World Cup and placing Dubai on the global horseracing map.

The Dubai Racing Carnival will also unveil a rebranded logo, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to modernisation.
