Dubai’s Sheikh Hamdan runs up the Burj Khalifa

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai has taken on an extreme fitness challenge by completing a vertical marathon at the world’s tallest building.

The so-called Burj Khalifa Challenge sees participants run up the steps from the ground floor to the highest reachable point – the 160th floor.

Sharing details of the physical feat with his 15m Instagram followers, posted a video at the start and end of the challenge as well as a selfie taken on the 160th floor. Showing his fitness data at the end of the challenge Sheikh Hamdan revealed that the challenge was completed in less than 38 minutes. An impressive achievement considering the 160 storeys climbed.

Floor 160 of the Burj Khalifa is not open to the public.
