Bahrain: 206 New Coronavirus Cases are of Expat Workers

The Ministry of Health in Bahrain recorded 212 new cases today, bringing the total count of active cases to 751. This is the highest single-day increase ever reported.

Of this, 206 cases are of migrant workers who were tested at their homes while 6 are from contact with other cases.

The 206 cases of migrant workers were monitored after 3321 laboratory tests were carried out during the last twenty-four hours within the pre-emptive campaigns to examine migrant workers in their homes in a number of areas.

Pre-empting existing cases between expatriate workers and putting those in contact with them under precautionary stone facilitates their treatment and enhances the efficiency of the measures taken to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents.
