Eid Al Adha: UAE rulers order release of 399 prisoners
UAE rulers have ordered the release of 399 prisoners who have shown good conduct, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, HH Dr. Sh. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, has ordered the release of 225 prisoners, who have shown good conduct, from punitive and reformative institutions in Sharjah.
HH Sh. Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, also ordered the release of 174 prisoners serving various sentences in Ras Al Khaimah.
HH Sh. Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has also pardoned a number of prisoners, serving various jail sentences in punitive and corrective institutions in the emirate.
The decisions are made to reflect their keenness to give these prisoners, who have shown good conduct, a second chance at a new life, as well as to ease the burden on their families.
