Emirates Airline is set to introduce a third non-stop flight between Dubai and Melbourne, launching on 30 March 2025 with a newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The new flight will operate as EK404/405, departing Dubai at 9:15 PM and arriving in Melbourne at 5:40 PM the following day. The return flight will depart Melbourne at 11:55 PM, arriving in Dubai at 07:00 AM the next morning.

The aircraft features a four-class configuration, including:

  • 24 Premium Economy seats
  • 256 Economy Class seats

The Premium Economy cabin has been recognised as ‘Best in Class’ and offers a 38-inch pitch, are 19.5 inches wide, and recline 8 inches for enhanced comfort.

Business Class passengers will enjoy several premium features, including:

  • Flat-bed seats with aisle access

This addition brings Emirates’ total weekly services to Australia to 77 across five gateways: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The airline has also reinstated its second Perth service from 1 December, further expanding its Australian network.

The expansion comes alongside Emirates’ broader commitment to Australia, which includes employing hundreds of Australians globally, investing over $230 million in sponsorships, and supporting economic ties following the recent Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and Australia.
