The Expo 2020 Dubai Museum will officially open to the public on Saturday, May 18.

Marking International Museum Day, visitors will be able to enjoy complimentary entry to the new museum as well as the three Stories of Nations exhibitions during May 18 and 19.

A 50 percent discount will also be offered on other attractions across Expo City Dubai, sources said in a statement.

Guided through a brief history of the UAE’s involvement in World Expos since the 1970s, the museum then focuses on Expo 2020 from its initial bidding stage through to its historic opening ceremony and six-month duration.

Highlighting the scale and significance of Expo 2020, it also examines the challenges posed by the pandemic and subsequent postponement.

Visitors can expect to learn about the masterplan design, construction of the site and the lasting impacts and ongoing legacy of Expo 2020.

Guided tours run every 30 minutes and the museum also features an Expo 2020 shop, library and meeting spaces available for rent.

From May 20, entry to the Expo 2020 Dubai Museum will be included in Expo City Dubai’s one-day Attractions Pass, priced at AED120.

Alternatively, a combined ticket for the museum and Stories of Nations exhibits costs AED50 for those aged 12 and over or AED40 for children aged 4 to 11.

Children 3 and under can enter for free.
