Saudi Arabia: Amended taxi regulations effective from today
The amended regulations for taxis will come into force today, April 24, the spokesman of the Saudi Public Transport Authority (PTA) said.
The new amendments relate to allowing a Saudi citizen to work in any vehicle after being authorized, and cancelling the age limitation requirement; it is only required that a license is obtained. Allowing vehicle models for the years 2016 and 2017 has also been extended to work until the end of this year.
