Flights to resume at Kuwait international airport on January 2

Flights will resume at Kuwait International Airport on Saturday, January 2, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said Tuesday.

DGCA spokesman Saad Al Otaibi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that decision was made after the cabinet decided on December 21 to halt flights from and to Kuwait as a measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The resumption of flights will begin at 4:00 pm local time by all decisions might be amended according to coronavirus developments, Al Otaibi added.

The cabinet decided previously to suspend commercial flights until January 1.
