Dubai’s Emirates Announces New On-Demand Flights for Short Trips in GCC

Emirates has announced the launch of an on-demand regional charter service for customers looking to make short trips in the GCC. The service will be available from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

Flights will be operated using the airline’s Phenom 100 twin-engine aircraft that can make trips to and outside Emirates’ expansive network of destinations with quick turnarounds to points in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and within the UAE, subject to prevailing operating conditions.

The private aircraft will have the capacity to seat up to four passengers. Travellers will be offered a hamper with bites and refreshments for the trip. Passengers will be allowed to check in one medium-sized bag of up to 15 kilograms alongside a carry-on bag.

The announcement was made on Tuesday and states that the service intends to, “offer discerning travellers with busy schedules privacy and a high level of flexibility, with a hassle-free ground experience.”

In Dubai, passengers can benefit from a chauffeur-driven service to the DWC airport Emirates Chauffeur Drive Services, the airline says that guests will be treated to a “VIP treatment upon arrival with a dedicated representative who will support them throughout the airport journey, ensuring minimal pre-flight wait times.”

Once the traveller arrives at the destination, they will be provided with an on-ground escorted arrival and VIP clearance at customs as well as, immigration provided by private terminal service partners followed by access to the private lounge.
