Governors from central banks across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) stated the regional financial sector is secure enough to face the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Putting preventions into practice, the governors were speaking via video conference about how to implement measures to ease the influence that the virus has had on economies within the Arabian region.

Monetary institutions and central banks in the GCC financial sector will continue to monitor the situation, with the governors accentuating that they will use all tools of monetary policy accessible to them to achieve strong, sustainable, balanced, and far-reaching growth while extinguishing the economic fallout of the coronavirus.
