Bahrain: Awareness Campaigns Held for Cyclists
The General Directorate of Traffic conducted awareness campaigns about the necessary precautions to be taken to prevent violations by cyclists. This was announced by the directorate through its official website and social media accounts.
The directorate stated that this comes as part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to enhance commitment to the precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Accompanying these campaigns, the directorate added, came awareness-raising, instructing bicycle drivers not to practice this sport in groups, or conducting rallies.
It noted that bicycle drivers were made aware of the necessity not to roam or move collectively and that it must be done individually or bilaterally.
Moreover, to take into account leaving a sufficient distance, especially in light of the current instructions and instructions issued by the Ministry of the Interior, which urge not to go out except when necessary.
