Global cases exceed 79.9 Million; death toll 1,752,878
More than 79.9 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 1,752,878 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany increased by 13,755 to 1,640,858 and the reported death toll rose by 356 to 29,778, data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases showed on Sunday.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
