Can you discuss a recent successful innovation that has made an impact on your guests/ your team/ the larger hospitality sector?
At Hilton Bahrain, we are strong advocates for innovation as a means to promote sustainability and enhance our guests’ experience.
Recently, we launched our EV charging station to support sustainable travel and reduce carbon emissions associated with gas consumption. This initiative complements several other projects we’ve implemented, including our smart farm and the Winnow system, which measures food waste to help us optimize our menu and minimize waste. Additionally, we’ve introduced a water plant project that eliminates the need for plastic bottles, providing our guests with a more eco-friendly alternative.
These efforts reflect our commitment to sustainability and our dedication to improving the overall guest experience.
What did you learn from this innovation and the process of implementing it?
From the innovation and implementation of our EV charging station and other sustainability initiatives, I learned where there’s a will, there’s a way. This experience has reinforced my belief that we can embrace a more sustainable lifestyle without compromising on the quality of the guest experience.
I discovered that by actively seeking out solutions and remaining open to technology and innovation, we can create enjoyable and memorable experiences for our guests while also making a positive environmental impact. For instance, the positive feedback we received from guests who appreciated the convenience of the EV charging station demonstrated that sustainability can enhance their stay rather than detract from it.

Additionally, I learned the value of collaboration throughout this process. Engaging our team and various stakeholders allowed us to gather diverse insights and develop effective strategies. This teamwork not only strengthened our commitment to sustainability but also fostered a sense of shared ownership and pride in our initiatives.

This shift is driving the development of innovative technologies that enhance sustainability in ways we never thought possible. At our hotel, we are committed to integrating these sustainable practices into every aspect of our operations, from energy-efficient systems to waste reduction initiatives.
Another significant trend is the evolution of communication with our guests.
To support the growing demand for frictionless travel, we have recently launched Kipsu, a texting and digital messaging platform that allows us to gather immediate feedback from our guests. This real-time communication enables us to respond quickly to their needs and concerns, fostering a more personalized experience. By bridging the gap between us and our guests, we create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances satisfaction and loyalty.

In the coming year, my primary goal is to maintain our successful trend of delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. We take great pride in currently holding the number one spot on TripAdvisor, and we aim to uphold this standard by continually enhancing our services and offerings.
I am also thrilled about the upcoming launch of two new food and beverage venues next year. These exciting additions will not only enrich our already vibrant culinary scene but also provide guests with even more outstanding dining and entertainment options. We are committed to creating unique and memorable experiences that reflect the diverse flavours and culture of our region.
