Porsche pulled off its largest Icons festival yet in November, with more than 30,000 enthusiasts descending on Dubai Design District for the marque’s annual celebration of classic cars, culture and brand heritage.
The two-day gathering sold out before gates opened, marking the second consecutive year the Stuttgart manufacturer achieved advance capacity for the event. More than 50 Porsche clubs from around the world attended, with over 1,000 Porsche sports cars.
Product Strategy on Show
The fifth edition served double duty as both heritage showcase and product launch platform. First public viewings of the Cayenne Electric, Macan GTS and 911 GT3 Manthey Kit drew significant crowds, demonstrating Porsche’s approach of blending legacy appeal with future product positioning.

Dr. Manfred Braünl, CEO of Porsche Middle East and Africa, acknowledged the event’s growing scale. “This year’s Icons of Porsche was the best one yet,” he said. “People coming together from around the world, sharing their passion for Porsche.”
Bespoke Programmes
The manufacturer used the platform to highlight its Sonderwunsch and Exclusive Manufaktur personalisation programmes, unveiling the first Factory Re-Commission project involving a Cayenne alongside a bespoke Panamera Turbo. The displays underscored Porsche’s push into high-margin customisation services.

Motorsport representation included the 963 RSP, 911 GT3 R Rennsport, 917/30, 962 and 911 GT3 Cup in a dedicated Raceborn zone, reinforcing the brand’s competition credentials.
Cultural Crossover
In a notable departure from traditional automotive events, Porsche collaborated with Kasing Lung, creator of the Labubu character. Lung unveiled a limited collector’s edition King Mon figure in Dubai, alongside an art car featuring Labubu at the wheel. The collaboration marked 10 years of The Monsters and 60 years of the 911 Targa simultaneously.
Market Implications
The event’s sold-out status and international draw reflect Porsche’s success in cultivating brand loyalty beyond transactional sales relationships. In a region where luxury marques compete aggressively for market share, the ability to generate this level of community engagement represents a significant competitive advantage.

Whether the heritage-focused strategy translates into showroom footfall remains the key metric, though the manufacturer’s willingness to invest in such experiential marketing suggests confidence in the Middle East as a strategic growth market.
