India: Coronavirus Cases Surge Past 2,300; Deaths Over 60
The number of novel coronavirus cases has jumped past 2,300 in India with around 300 new cases reported from different parts of the country on Thursday while the death toll has crossed the 60-mark.
Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra are among the places to report fresh cases on Thursday.
According to the Union Health Ministry, India registered the biggest single-day jump on Wednesday after more than 400 cases were reported while the death toll rose to 59.
