India reports 217,353 new COVID-19 cases and 1,185 deaths
The Indian health authorities announced today, Friday, the death of 1,185 people due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the toll to 174,308.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that 217,353 people tested positive in the last 24 hours, raising the overall number to 14,291,917.
According to the ministry, 12,547,866 people recovered so far from the pandemic which spread to 35 Indian states.
