India reports 338 deaths; 22,890 positive cases
Sources from the Indian Government today reported 338 deaths due to COVID-19 as 22,890 fresh positive cases were registered from across the country in the last 24 hours.
The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the death toll due to COVID-19 surged to 144,789 as the total number of positive cases rose to 9,979,447.
The health ministry said that 9,520,827 people recovered from the pandemic as it spread to 35 Indian states. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are the worst hit Indian states.
