India turns mosque into 40-bed care centre for COVID-19 patients

Due to India’s shortage of beds, medical oxygen, and medicines in designated COVID-19 hospitals, the Masjid-e-Mohammadi Ahle Hadees has been converted into a 40-bed Isolation Centre for mild to moderate COVID-19 patients.

This was lead by the Helping Hand Foundation with the help of Hyderabad’s Rotary Club and SEED, USA.

Dr. Mohammad Fareedullaha said that they are willing to increase the bed count to up to 65 or more if the demand increases.

Food is being provided to the patients thrice a day without charge, he added.
