Flyers departing from Delhi and Mumbai on India’s Vistara to many destinations in the Middle East and other international routes can now savor some of the popular regional dishes as the full-service carrier has announced a new onboard menu.
Epicurean treats like ‘laal maas’, ‘anjeer kofta’ and ‘apple badam kheer’ will be among the new additions to the in-flight menu on Vistara’s international routes, the airline said in a media release.
The airline’s decision to elevate its in-flight dining experience by adding popular regional flavours to its onboard menu is to celebrate India’s diverse culinary heritage, it said.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dammam and Doha are among the GCC destinations Vistara, a joint venture of the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, currently operates.
Additionally, the airline also announced enhancing the in-flight meals for its business class customers on long-haul flights, with the first course of lunch and dinner services will now include a choice of appetizers – both vegetarian and non-vegetarian – and soup with garlic bread.
Passengers can also enjoy a curated selection of cheeses as part of post-meal service in addition to sumptuous desserts and fruits, the airline said.
The airline also announced a repertoire of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in its menu on its domestic flights in India.
Vistara’s luxury amenities
Vistara said it has also revamped its amenity kits onboard for customers flying Business Class and Premium Economy cabins.
The kits now feature premium offerings by ‘Forest Essentials’ in Business Class and ‘Inara’ in Premium Economy on all international flights over 7 hours operated on Vistara’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
The Inara kits will also be offered in Business Class on all international flights over 5.5 hours operated on Vistara’s Airbus A321neo.
The selected products are prepared using therapeutic ingredients, blending ancient Ayurvedic principles with modern indulgence, the airline said.
