The occupancy rate of beds in the COVID-19 field hospital has reached 80 percent and half of the inpatients are under 50 years old.
Dr. Nabil Mohammed Al Lawati, Director of the field hospital for COVID-19 patients said in an interview with Oman TV: “Since receiving the first case of COVID-19 on October 6, 2020 til this morning, we received approximately 1,300 cases and succeeded in bidding farewell to about 1,200 cases.”
The Indian mutated virus may have reached Oman because the world is a small village and the methods of transmission are present, said the Director of the field hospital for COVID-19 patients.
