‘James Bond’ actor Sean Connery dies at 90

Iconic James Bond actor Sean Connery has died at the age of 90, the BBC reported on October 31.

Connery was the first actor to play the British spy in film and went on to star in seven Bond films. No cause of death has been given so far.

The Scottish actor’s career spanned decades and he won many awards over the years including an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globes. Apart from playing Bond, he was known for other movies such as ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘Highlander’, ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ and ‘The Untouchables’, for which he won an Oscar.

Connery was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 and celebrated his 90th birthday in August.
