On Monday morning, temperatures across the UAE experienced a notable drop, with the Met Office reporting particularly cold conditions in the mountains. The lowest temperature recorded was below 6°C in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah, making it one of the chilliest spots in the country. This morning, at 6:30 am, the National Center of Meteorology registered a temperature of just 3.2°C, indicative of the cooler weather impacting the region.

Skies throughout the UAE remained partly cloudy, with more cloud cover observed in Fujairah and along the coast of Ras Al Khaimah. As we move through the week, residents can expect a continuation of partly cloudy skies, with the potential for occasional light rain showers, particularly in the northern and coastal regions of the Emirates.

In the evening, humidity levels are predicted to rise, which could lead to foggy conditions in the inland areas of Abu Dhabi, especially during the early morning hours.

Looking ahead to the weather forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21, conditions are expected to remain predominantly partly cloudy. Low-lying clouds are anticipated in some of the western areas and on various islands. There may also be times when the skies turn cloudy, especially in the northern parts of the country. Nighttime and early Wednesday morning will bring increased humidity to some interior areas, which can heighten the chances of fog.

The winds will be moderate to fresh coming from the northwest, and can become strong at times, potentially resulting in blowing dust and sand across the land. Wind speeds are expected to range from 15 to 30 km/hr, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/hr.

As for sea conditions, the Arabian Gulf is likely to be moderate to rough, with very rough waters possible at times, while the Oman Sea will also see moderate to rough conditions.
