Ikram Aliskerov from KHK MMA will headline the first-ever UFC event in Saudi Arabia, set to take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on 22 June.
This event marks a significant achievement for MMA in Bahrain and the broader MENA region, reflecting the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa to promote MMA in the area.
In 2015, His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa established the KHK MMA team with the goal of nurturing MMA talent from the region. The team has included renowned fighters like Islam Makhachev, Frankie Edgar, and Khabib Nurmagomedov, as well as rising stars such as Muhammad Mokaev and Ikram Aliskerov.
A year after forming the KHK MMA team, His Highness founded BRAVE Combat Federation to globalise MMA. Over the past seven and a half years, BRAVE CF has held more than 80 events in 32 countries, introducing a new era of MMA. Fighters like Khamzat Chimaev, Ilia Topuria, and Ikram Aliskerov have benefited from this global platform.
Ikram Aliskerov spent much of his career with BRAVE CF, competing in nine events before moving on. Representing KHK MMA and Bahrain, he gained international exposure by fighting worldwide.
Alongside Ikram, KHK MMA’s Magomed Gadzhiyasulov will also compete in the upcoming UFC event in Saudi Arabia. Magomed, like his teammate, earned global recognition through his performances in BRAVE Combat Federation.
