There are around 74,000 workers on government contracts that have expired visas and are yet to be amended, Al Rai reported.
Back in September, when the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) began dealing with the files of expired government workers’ contracts, there were 159,000. Since then, they were able to resolve 85,000 of those workers’ expired visas by either transferring their work permits or the individual left Kuwait.
