Bahrain: Foreign woman forced into prostitution freed
The Public Prosecution has completed its investigation into the case of a foreign girl who was trafficked and forced into prostitution.
The woman was rescued after a tip-off was sent to police, revealing that the victim was locked up and forced to have paid sex with adults. She told prosecutors that she came to Bahrain after she was offered a fake job opportunity to work as a waitress at a restaurant.
Two defendants, including a man and a woman involved in the case, were tried before the High Criminal Court today in regards to the same.
