Kuwait Airways Ground Staff Killed While Towing Boeing 777-300ER

Ground staff at Kuwait Airways was killed in a tragic accident that occurred on Monday at 3.10pm.

The technical staff member was killed during a towing accident at the company’s base airport on May 6, the airline said sharing details on Twitter.

The worker was towing Boeing 777-300ER at the airport’s Terminal 4, the tweet read. No crew members or passengers were on board the aircraft when the incident happened.

When paramedics arrived at the scene, they failed to revive the man.

In the same context, the Kuwait Airways announced that a ‘serious accident’ occurred which led to the death of one of its technicians while towing of one of the company’s B777 aircraft free of passengers and crew from the airport yard to Terminal 4.

Necessary investigations are being carried out on the incident by the concerned authorities to determine the cause of death.

Kuwait Airways has expressed their regret at the tragic incident.
