Kuwait announces 580 new cases, 436 recoveries

Kuwait has today confirmed 580 new COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, raising the total  162,862 cases. 

The Ministry said that no infected patients had passed away, keeping the death toll since the outbreak of the pandemic at 957. 

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 6,166, with 44 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad. 

The ministry said that 436 infected patients had recovered from the virus, raising the overall tally to 155,739. The health authorities conducted 8,426 swab tests bringing the total to 1,479,530.
