Saudi: New COVID-19 cases remain below 50-mark

New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia stayed below the 50-mark for the third straight day on Monday, with 49 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours, with infections dipping below the mark for three weeks after seeing new cases recording over the 50-mark four straight days and one day in between the slides.

2 people died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 548,666 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,796.

A total of 35 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 537,605. Among the active cases,  61 of them were in critical condition.
