Kuwait elected to UNESCO’s Executive Board 2021-2025

Kuwait has been elected to the Executive Board of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for a four-year term (2021-2025). The Kingdom won 153 votes.

The 28-member Board oversees the overall management of UNESCO, prepares the agenda of the General Conference and ensures proper implementation of its decisions. The functions and responsibilities of the Executive Board are derived primarily from the constitution and statutes laid down by the General Conference.
